Solar panel operates most efficiently at around 25°C (77°F). The temperature coefficient is the indicator of how the performance of your solar panel degrade during hot days. For every degree above 25°C (77°F), solar panel's electricity production will decrease accordingly with the value of temperature coefficient. Therefore, the lower value means higher performance.
